The 25 Building Blocks of the
Pyramid of Success

Block 1: Industriousness
" In plain and simple English this means hard work. Very hard work. There is no substitute for very hard work when it comes to success."

Block 2: Enthusiasm
" It is the engine that powers all blocks of the Pyramid. It is why I chose Industriousness and Enthusiasm as the cornerstones of my Pyramid of Success. It is where everything begins."
Enthusiasm is a very important key

Block 3: Friendship
" Comes from mutual esteem, respect, and definition. Like marriage, it must not be taken for granted but requires a joint effort"
I agree with this block because no one should be taken for granted. A friendship is important and special even though some people come as a blessing and others as a lesson. I believe that you should treat others the way you want to be treated. I also believe that you shouldn't downgrade yourself to the position of those who say to be your friends. Matter a fact friends in this world don't exist. Everything has an end u enjoy the ride while it lasts cause not everything is forever.

Block 4: Loyalty
" To yourself and to all those depending upon you. Keep your self-respect."
I think loyalty is really good way to help people learn to trust you. Although I don't really believe in loyalty it is a good way to gain trust by others. Loyalty if it were up to me, id want everyone to be loyal but it just ain't possible.

Block 5: Cooperation
" With all levels of your co-workers

Block 6: Ambition
"For noble goals"
Ambition is a good way

Block 6: Ambition
For noble goals

Block 7: Self-Control
"Practice self-discipline and keep emotions under control. Good judgment and common sense are essential."

Block 8: Alertness
"Be observing constantly. Stay open-minded. Be eager to learn and improve."

Block 9: Initiative
"Cultivate the ability to make decisions and think alone. Do not be afraid of failure, but learn from it."

Block 10: Intentness
"Set a realistic goal. Concentrate on its achievement by resisting all temptations. Be determined and president."

Block 11: Sincerity
"Keeps friends"
Sincerity is a good way to make and keep new friends. Being sincere means that you're truthful to what you say. Having friends also means that you have to keep it real with them and not lie or cause them harm.

Block: 12: Adaptability
"To any situation"
Adaptability means that you have to be able to work through any situation.

Block 13: Condition
"Mental-Moral-Physical. Rest, exercise and diet must be considered. Moderation must be practiced. Dissipation must be eliminated."
Condition is

Block 14: Skill
"A knowledge of and the ability to properly and quickly execute the fundamentals. Be prepared and cover every little detail."

Block 15: Team Spirit
" A genuine consideration for others. An eagerness to sacrifice personal interests of glory for the welfare of all."
To have team spirit means that you are willing to show everyone that not only you are able to be in the spot of glory, but also your team members. Having deep consideration for what others feel is also an important and good way to show team spirit. In a football team, players often sacrifice their glory to make a score.

Block 16: Honesty
In thought and in action

Block 17: Resourcefulness
Proper judgement
To have proper judgment means that you respectfully say what your opinion about something.

Block 18: Poise
"Just being yourself. Being at ease in any situation."
"Graceful and elegant bearing in a person."
Being poise means that you shouldn't have to be a needy person to

Block 19: Confidence
"Respect without fear. May come from being

Block 20: Reliability
Creates respect
Being a reliable person means that people are able to trust you more with things you do

Block 23: Integrity
"Purity of intention"
Having integrity means that as a person you have morals and beliefs that you believes that you follow by. You also need honesty trustworthiness and respectful ways of being in order to be a person with integrity. If there is someone who enjoys

Block 24: Faith
"Believe and achieve"
To have faith means that you believe that you will be able to accomplish what it is you are trying to do. it may also mean that you will trust in yourself to do what you believe is to be impossible. Faith not only comes from what you believe in but also from the work you put in.

Block 25: Patience
"Good things take time"
Being patient means that you will take time to achieve what you want. Taking time to put in effort and also to wait on your results. If you want to be a pro soccer player, that takes dedication, hard work and most of all patience. Just because you're a good soccer player it does not mean that you automatically make it to the pro league. there are more people who have waited and trained so hard and long to get to the same place you want. Not always is everything going to come all fast "good things take time." If you're a patient person that you will be guaranteed that you will succeed in what you want. Sometimes you get angry for being so patient but if you encourage yourself to be more patient it will save you lots of moments of regret. In the beginning, things will be difficult but if you are patient long enough little by little things will get easier with time. Maintaining a good attitude while being patient is always a good way to strive for your goal.

10 Keys to Personal Power
Key 1: Clarity
"Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life.  Have a sense of direction and know where you’re going.  If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do."

In this key clarity is one way to contain personal power. In order to have personal power you have to be sure of your goals in life.

Key 2: Competence
"If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get."

This key is explaining that when you commit yourself to do something good, good things will come your way. It may not always come quickly but when they do come, you will see that all your effort has had its advantages. Everything that happens to you is based on everything you do in life.

Key 3: Concentration
"Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself " is this the best use of my time?" before you start anything."

This key is really important because concentration will allow you to think clearly about what you want to do and it will help you set your goal.

Key 4: Common Sense
  • Train your mind
  • Think things through
  • Listen to your intuition
  • Learn from setbacks
I think this key is very important because without common sense you will just be repeating the same game over and over and over again. Common sense is based on whether or not you learn from your mistakes. knowing not to repeat the same mistake twice is having commonsense.

Key 5: Creativity
"Except the fact that every human being is a genius.  The hallmark of creativity is asking questions.  The people who are most creative ask the most questions."

I disagree with this quote because its not true that the most creative people ask the most questions. Everyone in their own way is creative whether they show it by writing down facts imagining things or simply anything that jumps into their head

Key 6: Consideration
"The quality of your relationships with other people will determine your success in life."
"Develop the people skills you need to become a better communicator.  Take courses in listening, speaking, etc."
"If you were to learn one new word a day, within 5 years, you’ll be the best educated person in history."

Key 7: Consistency
"Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work."
"Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work.  Be the person that people can depend upon.  That if you say you’ll do something you do it.."
Key 8: Commitment
" No success is possible without commitment. The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success"
" Become totally absorbed in your work. Be totally committed."

Key 9: Courage
"The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life"

Key 10: Confidence
" You only get confidence by doing things over and over again"

GOALS
Our goals are the things that can mostly motivate us to keep going. Even if everything gets hard our goal can get our head back in the game. Sure sometimes you might think or say that it's not even worth it but once you reach it you will look back saying that everything you did to get there was worth it. For example one of your goals might be to visit France but if you don't finish school you won't have an education, without having an education, you won't be able to get a good paying job which means you wont have money and if you don't have money you won't be able to go to France. Every goal has its struggle even something as basic as sleeping. Like in order to sleep you have to make sure that you did everything you were supposed to do; chores, homework, cook etc. Nothing in this world comes easy. In order to get what you want you have to give it your best all the time.
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Habit 1: Be Proactive
" Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says,"I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the drivers seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."

I agree with this quote because being proactive means that you have the power to make someone feel a certain way by your attitude. You are the only one responsible for your own happiness. You are in charge of everything that goes on in your life.

Habit 2: Begin With The End In Mind
" Control your destiny or someone else will." (Jack Welch)
" When you know where you intend to end up, you know where you are know."(Covey)

I agree with this quote because controlling your destiny is what you have to do, no one else is able to choose your destiny but yourself. Your destiny is chosen by the acts and things you do.  Knowing what you will do in the future will probably give you motivation to keep striving for that goal. In order for you to be highly effective in life you need to know where to begin and where you're trying to end up.

Habit 3: Put First Things First
" Organize and execute around priorities"

This quote is true because putting your priorities first can bring a lot of success in your life.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win
"Think win-win or no deal"
This quote is saying that thinking about winning can lead you to achieve higher in life. If you're thinking about winning you

Habit 5: Seek First To Understand, Than To Be Understood
" Diagnose before you prescribed"

Habit 6: Synergize
"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts" Habit 7:Sharpen the Saw
"The four dimensions of self-renewal: physical, mental, spiritual, social emotinal
